I was thinking about stamping some images using markers rather than ink and I was wondering if I should use a special kind of marker on either rubber or clear stamps. I know permanent markers wouldn't be a good idea but can I just go at my stamps with my kids Crayolas or do I have to invest in some of my own?

I would love to help you out on this one Jan but I would say investing in some markers would be a good idea.
I really haven't ever used kids markers?
Hopefully someone can answer this better for you.

Good Luck

Hi Jan,

I have some "real" stamping markers {I worked at a LSS and got them cheap!} but I believe you could use the kids washable markers {IE: Crayola}. I think they give the same effect...just remember, once you've coloured your image in, you have to "huff" on the stamp before you stamp it..."huffing" is just breathing on the stamp like you would a pair of glasses when you're cleaning the lens....does that make sense?? Hope it helps!
